Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
LOCQUAT (Erybotryus Japonica). Fruits are apricot-like. Hardy. Foliage is evergreen and heavily veined – may not appreciate a winter like 1985, so protection over winter would be wise if grown in containers. Flowers late summer/autumn and embryo fruitlets over winter to ripen June/July. Locquat are self-fertile, but failure to fruit indicates planting position too exposed. Preferably plant on sheltered south wall.
