Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
Featured in 1987 issue of postage stamp to commemorate Sir Isaac Newton. Original tree was in Sir Isaac’s garden in Woolsthorpe in 1660. Fruit is large silvery green becoming greenish yellow. Flesh is white tinged green. Pick mid-October – will keep until January.
