Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
Originated 1850 (known at that time as 'Tom Matthews'). Intense cider flavour, with deep cream flesh. Cooks well. Stays late on tree, which is of weeping habit. Was often planted in 1890s as a decorative tree.
