Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
Raised in 1896. Got Award of Merit in 1896 and a First Class Certificate in 1898 by R.H.S. Fruit is medium to large, greenish yellow, covered with brownish crimson flush and a few dark red stripes. Flesh is cream tinged green, firm but juicy and of good aromatic flavour. Picked in mid-October – will keep until March.
