2. FARLEIGH DAMSON (also known as ‘Crittenden Damson’ and ‘Cluster Damson’). First damson to mature in season. At the most prolific in early September. Round to oval, small black fruit with bloom. Flesh greenish yellow. Much flavour. Tree growth compact. Partially self-incompatible, so needs pollinator.
