Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
Raised in 1964 by Dr. F. Alston of East Malling Research Station. A cross with Lane’s Prince Albert. Introduced on the market in 1985. When cooked the slices keep their shape. Soft, juicy and sweet. Resistant to mildew, bearing early and heavy crops in September. Will keep a while – probably until November.
