Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
(known as ‘The Wise Apple’ and ‘Wallaton Pippin’). Originated in Roman times and used in many breeding programmes today, as its late flowering and long keeping qualities make it a useful partner. Keeps in normal store until April/May. Small, round, flat fruit, dull yellow with light red flush and slight russeting. Produces small tree, but prolific cropper and resistant to scab.
