Deacon's Nursery: Fruit Trees & Bushes
(also known as 'Katy'). Earlier than the Worcester and larger. A Swedish developed apple. James Grieve x Worcester Pearmain. A Worcester type, but four times the crop. Fruit is conical, 75% bright scarlet, with good flavour. Consistant cropper - even in bad years. Excellent pollinator for Cox. A P.Y.O. type. Canker resistant. Origin: 1947
