Product of a cross between the enormous Peasgood's Nonsuch and Cox's Orange Pippin. Enormous round apples - polished and evenly shaped. Exceedingly juicy. Does very well on chalky soils. Always a sought after cultivar - everyone wants one - and often shown at horticultural shows. Self-fertile.
