August to September. Large apple, greenish to yellow, turning orange flushed on the sun side. Even heavy crop and consistent. Upright growth. Keeps until January. Bakes extremely well – good variety for up North. One of the best early cultivars, with beautiful blossom. Self-fertile. Origin: Buckinghamshire.
